From ELEGY and other poems:

Sitting in the park
Slicing a baguette in two -
We dine like royals

Dew dampens our feet
Striding through meadows early
Morning son singing

Folded in embrace...
My Godmother's kiss lingers
Loving on my cheek

Sick boy reading books...
Overflowing images
Fan across the sea

Winter morning fire...
Granny makes my breakfast
Steaming mug of tea

Retired man walking
His greyhound, gossiping
With friends who have time

Twenty men singing
in Nick's pub in Killorglin -
Where have they all gone?

I miss my father -
Not having had the chance
To be his friend

From Girl Through My Window and other poems:

Two dandelions dance...
Embracing in the warmth of
The afternoon sun

Down a winding trail...
Plum tress blossoming in spite
Of bitter north wind

Soft rain falls silent...
Wet whites flop on clothes line,
Pegged and lifeless

Family of ducks
Glides by, water surface
Broken by a trout

Water lilies float
On our pond in full flower -
You have deeper roots

Lunch on mountaintop,
Lying back on our elbows -
Peaks spread before us

Ragged edges, rocky
Backdrop encircles harbour
In a frim embrace

Autumn patterns of
Maple, Larch and Cypress tress -
Serene woman knitting

Autumn summons
Swallows, gathering on the
Telegraph wires

Early morning frost
Forming a white lace pattern -
On Wicklow windows

Quiet country road,
Fence rails and mailboxes mantled -
No sign of people

The world listening
In quiet meditation -
Seized by stillness
